All participants must agree to:

• Abide by the decisions of the event coordinator and boat sweep (steerer) or coach.
• Acknowledge the inherent risks of dragon boating and participation in the event.
• Agree to assume all risks of loss, damage, injury or death that may be sustained by participants and their property while at the event site and participating in event related activities.
• Hold harmless Dragon Boat ACT and its registered members from liability, waiving any claim that may arise from participation in the event, and event related activities, by completing this form.

All participants must adhere to the following safety requirements:

• Wear a personal floatation device (PFD) - life jacket.
• Wear appropriate footwear - covered shoes, Crocs with sling back are acceptable. NO BARE FEET ALLOWED IN BOATS.
• Take and follow all instructions in paddling and water safety.
• Realise that there is a risk of injury, possibly even serious injury or death from participating in the sport of dragon boating and be willing to accept this and participate completely at own risk.
• Abide by the Safety Rules and Regulations set by Dragon Boat ACT as advised by your coach and sweep.
• Be fit to participate, consent to medical treatment as necessary during the event and pay any associated cost.
