This season we will see two camps for our ACT Fire Campaign which will be held over two days for all paddlers who want to represent the ACT. Our aim this season is to field crews in most race categories and to set an even higher performance standard than last year. To achieve this goal the selection camp will include an on water component held at Lotus Bay, and a physical testing component held at the Australian Institute of Sport.

2016-17 Selection Information - Juniors

We are seeking volunteers to assist the coaches in record keeping and marshalling the trialists through various tasks, from 8:15am-1:30pm at the AIS (this is all indoors so you can avoid the heat outside). The volunteer jobs are not strenuous and will give you an opportunity to see what your son, daughter or fellow paddler goes through in State team trials.  DBACT will be providing lunch at the AIS dining hall for all trialists and volunteers.
Volunteers meet at AIS at 8.15am on Sunday 12th out the front of the visitors centre. The coaches will brief volunteers on the tasks and timing of the day once everyone has arrived, and at 8:25am we all move to the gym to start the session.
If you are able to assist with all or part of the camp, or have any questions, please contact Sal Bromley, ACT Fire Head Coach at  Please advise by Sunday 5 February if you can assist to allow Sal and her coaching team time to build a volunteer schedule.

Regular training

Wednesdays 5:50am - 7:15am, from 15 February 2017 until 12 April (Inclusive). Juniors will train alongside seniors.
